Laser Engraving Near Edenbridge on Foam Inserts – Kewell Converters
In this case study we visit our customer Kewell Converters. We laser engrave on a variety of their foam inserts, ranging from high density foam through to low density foam. The sizes, colours, and materials that Kewell Converters offer their customers is wide spread but all can be laser engraved. The information that is usually laser engraved on these products is product branding or instructional information to the user.

Due to the wide variety and sizes that are required to be laser engraved on these products, we found to produce the highest quality it was best to use our in house 1490 Lightblade CO2 Laser Engraving Machine. The laser engraving is normally done in 1 pass, this is due to the CW nature of the Lightblade lasering being consistent to work with the foam itself.

For most of the foam inserts a simple corner jigg can be used to accurately locate all manner of shapes and sizes within the Lightblade work area. If the parts are small then multiple parts can be lasered in one run. For any stranger shapes not able to be located in a corner jigg, then some special jigging can be made with the in house Lightblade laser machine to produce better tolerances by ourselves.
There are a wide array of industries that use foam inserts. For more information on this endless possibilities then please visit Kewell Convertors – Shop , or if you have a specific requirement please use our contact page, link below.
