Laser Marking and Fulfilment Services on Reusable Cups – Bru Cup

In this case study we visit our customer Bru Cup. We laser mark and dispatch a variety of their reusable coffee cups, bottles and travel mugs. Coming in a range of colours as well as sizes. The information that is laser marked on these products is usually product branding or corporate branding for their customers.

For these products we use our inhouse CO2 galvo system with a f-180 F-theta lens , the engraving process of these particular examples can vary depending on the amount of data contained within the laser marking co-branding artwork. The laser mark is normally done with 2 passes, one to remove the powder costing and the other to clean up any primer that has been used.

For the bottles a ‘V’ shaped jig with a backstop is used to locate the part. So the use of this jig is ideal as it has the required ‘V’ shape to centralise the product under the laser and a back stop to ensure that the bottles are laser marked in the same position on the complete clients order. For better tolerances or more detailed parts, separate bespoke jig can be made and used by ourselves.
